Owner/designer Gene Lieser has worked on farms and ranches his whole life. He was raised on a family farm and grew up to become a farrier.
As a farrier, Gene spent decades traveling to farms and ranches where he had to open and close thousands of gates to ply his trade. He never once encountered a gate latch that had all the features needed for simple one-handed operation, that provided property and animal security, flexibility and ease of installation.
Gene knew there had to be a better way. So he started working day and night designing, forging and testing until he finally came up with the best gate latch possible. In 2012 Gene met Marsha, and together they began manufacturing and selling the Best Gate Latch.
